Old Business
Painting of Casey Rd. Wall – Barbara reported that she mailed the postcards to homeowners to notify them of removal of growth from the Casey Rd. wall. However, Chris reported that Jay’s Property Maintenance did not remove the growth before D&S Painting began the painting project on April 7, 2008 as planned (D&S Painting removed some of the growth). The project may be completed within a week.
Repair of Jackson Rd. Wall – At last month’s Board meeting, Barbara had volunteered to mail out postcards to homeowners about the Jackson Rd. wall project prior to the growth being removed. Since Jay’s Property Maintenance is supposed to remove the growth, Barbara will contact Carol to see when growth removal will begin. However, Trustees agreed that the postcards could be sent out at any time, so Barbara will mail them in the near future. It had previously been agreed by Trustees that repair of the Jackson Rd. wall should be delayed until D&S Painting completes the Casey Rd. wall painting project to ensure that the work is satisfactory. As of the date of this meeting, the work completed so far appeared acceptable.
New Business
County Neighborhoods Conference – Barbara reported that she attended the conference, which was held on March 29, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Hillsborough Community College. She shared some information from the conference with Trustees, which she will also be able to include on Beacon Meadows’ website. The following are two items of particular interest:
· County Code Enforcement Contact – Pam Ball (279-6573) is the County representative for Beacon Meadows and surrounding areas.
· City-County Planning Commission Meeting – The commission will meet on April 24, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Carrollwood Cultural Center to discuss planning for the Greater Carrollwood Area. The public is invited.
Special District Elections – Penny reported that she had received her packet from the County Supervisor of Elections to begin collecting signatures from Beacon Meadows residents in order to become a candidate to run for Trustee in the August 2008 election. Carol and Judy will also need to run this year. Seven signatures must be collected on individual Candidate Petition forms. Barbara, Chris, and Leslie signed petition forms for Penny at the meeting. The forms must be submitted by May 19, 2008.
There being no further business, Barbara adjourned the meeting at 8:20 p.m.
